Jo is a qualified further education lecturer with over ten years teaching experience. She has worked with learners who have learning disabilities and mental health related difficulties. Jo has taught a range of subjects including art, literacy and numeracy. She specialised in the diagnostic screening and teaching of students with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

In recent years Jo has worked in the voluntary sector, supporting asylum seekers and refugees. Her experience includes recruiting and managing volunteers, developing training programmes, compiling funding reports and service development.
